Big Boy Room Reveal
Whenever I am left alone in the house (aka my husband or son leave town), I always take on a giant home project. Weird? Kinda, haha! In this case, our baby was leaving for 5 days with our family and my mind went straight into project mode. Therefore, I bring you the “Big Boy Room Reveal”. All of the items in his room will be “shoppable” at the end of this post!
The first transformation was the crib! Asher had a white crib and it was super simple to remove the face of it (to my surprise). Once I removed it, I busted out the aqua paint, turned on my murder mystery podcast & painted away! I will be adding a cloud shaped bed rail as well!
The second transformation of Asher’s room, was the removal of the rocker. This was the most emotional part for me. I nursed for 2+ years and sat in that rocker every night with my growing babe where we made the sweetest memories. However there wasn’t much use of it anymore, so until we have a second babe, the memories will be made at this table now!!
I have wanted a play table for a few months now, but I have been superrrr picky about it! And I also did not want to pay an arm and a leg, either. So I scoured Atlanta, literally. I went to so many Goodwills, antique shops, furniture stores, and I still could not find one I liked. I then resorted to Facebooj Marketplace (which is where I should have started, honestly. #rookiemistake). The day before Asher came home, I found this white metal set, and I drove and 3 hours roundtrip after work to pick it up! The things mamas do for their babies, right?! So worth it!
This corner remains the same with the exception of the bat :) And I had to prove that a toddler does in fact live in this room so I had to show you a messy chalkboard! The paint I used for the chalkboard is the same I used for his new bed!
