I'm 2 Fly
We just recently celebrated our baby turning TWO! He has been dubbed, "the baseball baby" (thanks Jimmy Fallon) but we wanted to appreciate Asher's other interests for his second Birthday! So planes it was :) I love creating original themes for parties & when I came up with "I'm 2 Fly" and it was husband approved, I ran with it! I am sharing all the details with you, so that all the hard work was worth it, lol! I have also created a gallery of all the prodcuts & decor that were used for this party! Simply click on the product you want details on, and it will take you directly to the link!
Asher's favorite restaurant is "The Flying Machine". It is a restaurant that is directly on the tarmac of the Lawrenceville Airport! His party was on the patio, giving direct access to watch all the planes take off & land!
I had so much fun prepping for his party, especially the treats & favors! My mom deserves a huge shout out for the candy plane favors-could they be any cuter? They were a HIT! I purchased the plane and "2" fondant pieces off Etsy, and shmeared icing on store bought sugar cookies and called it a day! WIN!
I wish I could take credit for this gorg cake, but I can't. Nothing Bundt Cakes deserves all the love, it is mouthwatering!!! If you know me, I am super pciky and particular when planning parties. I had the hardest time finding the exact cake topper that I had in my mind. So i made it, painted wooden letters form Hobby Lobby, then hot glued them to twine and picks! Super simple and a fraction of the cost!
These party favors were stupid simple! Mallows & toy Airplanes :) I purchased the cloud cut outs from Etsy and stuck "thenk you" stickers on them! The kids also liked these favors!
Probably my favorite part of the party was the balloons! (Even though the wind carried away the other blue plane). I purchased them on Etsy & Amazon; then day of, had Party City filled them with helium! The cloud backdrop & stand were both Amazon purchases!
A closer look at the details!
Hope you enjoyed reading & seeing how we celebrated our little dude turning TWO!
